Mr. Gostynski specializes in international law, particularly in international commercial transactions.
His other specializations include civil and commercial law. His office coordinates the firm’s litigation and arbitration department.
His clients are mainly Polish and foreign business entities. He also advises diplomatic missions of foreign states in Poland. He possesses extensive experience in cross-border disputes. He coordinates the litigation and arbitration conducted by Polish clients abroad, and represents Polish and foreign clients in proceedings pending in Poland. He is an expert in international trade agreements and international trade. He advises on mergers and acquisitions in Poland for our foreign Clients.
He performs regularly as a speaker at national and international legal conferences, and is the author of foreign publications in both German and English on the issues of Polish law.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association and a representative (Chapter Chair) for the section in Poland. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, and Global Justice Forum. He is an attorney of trust (Vertrauensanwalt) for the Consulate General of the Republic of Austria in Krakow, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and an attorney for the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Krakow.
He graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. While at the university, he was a board member of the local Cracow group of the European Law Students’ Association – ELSA. He was awarded a Masters of Law (LL.M.) for his studies at the Widener University School of Law (Wilmington, Delaware, USA), with a specialization in Corporate and Finance Law. During his studies in the U.S., he received an award of “Outstanding Achievement” in the field of international law. He also graduated from the Law School of the German Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg, and the Jagiellonian University and the Austrian Law Program, organized in cooperation with the University of Vienna and the Jagiellonian University.
